Description:
Project was to replace stone retaining wall adjacent to Con-Rail yards and the PATH tube running through
Jersey City. Old wall was approximately 80 years old. New wall was 1200 l.f. x 12 l.f. high. Retaining
wall supports Con-Rail train activity.

Typical cross section of lagging and new wall. Driving H-Piles for lagging system in order to remove old wall. Removing old stone wall. PA inspectors check new form work for new wall.
Completed retaining wall. Granite veneer to cover new concrete wall. Re-paving street asphalt. Installing bracing to correct subsurface conditions.
